Please review the information below. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic: Eligible Emergency Protective Measures Fact Sheet is a good place to start in understanding what Public Assistance is available from FEMA. There are also instructions on how to create your account with FEMA. It is recommended to go ahead and make sure you have an account created before your need arises.

The cost associated with response and recovery from COVID-19 is very expensive.  FEMA has provided initial guidance for reimbursement for Public Assistance Applicants for Category B, Emergency Protective Measures.

If your county already has an established account in the Public Assistance Grants Portal, they need to log in and select the prompt “REQUEST PUBLIC ASSISTANCE”, then follow the steps by selecting “3474EM-MS (3474EM)” on Step 2.  Then complete the remaining steps to submit the Request for Public Assistance (RPA).
