MAS has been informed that Treasury sent the following email to counties yesterday (Monday, August 30, 2021).

Dear Official in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi:

As Hurricane Ida impacts your region, the Department of Treasury sends our best wishes for your health and safety.

As you know, there is an upcoming reporting requirement for the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds due on August 31, 2021. We recognize that some jurisdictions may be unable to timely submit reports due to health and public safety concerns given the weather and power situation in their area. If the storm makes it not possible to submit the report on time then please notify Treasury, providing a clear explanation of why the report was unable to be submitted on time, and proposing a specific date by which the report will be ready for submission. Treasury will document this information in its reporting system so that such jurisdictions would not be included in any public reporting by Treasury about jurisdictions that failed to submit reports in a timely manner.

The Interim and the Recovery Plan Performance Report (Recovery Plan),if applicable,  should be submitted through Treasury’s State, Local, and Tribal Support portal via the following link: https://portal.treasury.gov/cares/s/slt.
